Dr Liaqat Natha – Chair of the Forum

A local GP born and raised in Bolton, Dr Natha holds several key roles, including Trustee of the Bolton Muslim Welfare Trust (BMWT), Partner at Kearsley Medical Centre, Clinical Director for Farnworth and Kearsley Primary Care Network (PCN), member of the Bolton Local Medical Committee (LMC), and Locum Medical Examiner at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. He brings a wealth of experience in primary care, clinical leadership, and system-level working, with a strong commitment to reducing health inequalities and improving the health and wellbeing of Bolton’s Muslim communities.

Rafik Adam

Based in Bolton for over 20 years, Rafik has a rich background in economic development and regeneration within the public sector. He has diverse business experience in training, manufacturing, and healthcare. A Justice of the Peace for 22 years, he is now semi-retired.

Dr. Samir Naseef

A GP in Bolton since 2006, Dr. Naseef is associated with Orient House Medical Centre, Pikes Lane Surgery, and Wyersdale Surgery as a partner. He is the founder of Chequers Health and Chequers Academy and an elected member of the LMC.

Dr. Zahida Atcha

Dr. Atcha has been a GP in Bolton since 1998. She serves as the Health Inequalities and Vaccination Lead for Horwich Primary Care Network (PCN) and is an active member of the LMC and the GP Board.

Shafi Patel

Chairman of the Bolton Muslim Welfare Trust (BMWT), Shafi has been in Bolton since 1988. A former councillor, he is also a Director of BMS Sublimation Ltd and a property developer with Haslam Buildings Ltd.

Inayat Omarji MBE

With experience spanning the public, private, and charitable sectors, Inayat has worked in Bolton Council’s Sport, Health, and Inclusion services, served as a Practice Director in general practice, and managed operations in the charitable sector. Currently, he is the Director of Operations for a private digital health service and actively serves as a trustee on several charitable boards.

Dr. Imran Muhammad

A psychiatrist who has lived and worked in Bolton since 2010, Dr. Muhammad is dedicated to supporting the mental health of the local community through his work with Bolton’s community mental health services.

Iqbal Patel

A businessman and former local councillor in Bolton, Iqbal has a diverse portfolio of business interests. He is deeply committed to social and charitable initiatives, working to strengthen and uplift local projects and communities.

Moulana Muhammad Adam

A Bolton native, Moulana Muhammad Adam is an Islamic Theologian with a distinguished career spanning from 1990 to 2024. He has served as a Senior Lecturer in Hadith and Quranic Exegesis and held leadership roles in educational institutions, including Eden Boys School and Bolton Muslim Girls School From 2000 to 2008, he served as Lead and Chair of the Bolton Council of Mosques and currently a Trustee of Bolton Muslim Welfare Trust contributing extensively to spiritual and community development throughout the years.

Dr Hafsa Pathan

Born in Bolton trained as a GP in Bolton and then moved to the West Midlands. Have been a GP partner for 17 years. Working as a Locum Gp at present. Have been a GP trainer for many years and training medical students. Main interest in diabetes and health awareness, promoting wellbeing and preventive medicine.

DR Sharif Uddin

GP in Bolton since 2012. Chair of Bolton LMC and Chair of Bolton GP Board.
